But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.
Comment:
This is the first instance of YHWH telling His people not to eat flesh with its blood in it. This is confirmed later a number of times in Leviticus and Deuteronomy as something that applies to all God’s people. It is also confirmed in Acts 15 as still applying to new converts in the early church.
