Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

This is the first commandment in the Torah. It is repeated when Noah comes out of the ark, and then again later to Jacob in Genesis 35. Onan, the second son of Judah, disobeyed this commandment in Genesis 38.
